A cautionary warning for those who are interested in trialling the MacOS Tahoe Developer Beta which became available earlier this week…

• It’s laggy as hell. MacOS is usually pretty smooth, and even earlier Developer Betas for the previous iterations of MacOS have been well optimised, but this one isn’t. If I do something that requires more than a modicum of processing power, things start stuttering.
• Safari has a massive memory leak. Okay, it had one on MacOS Sequoia, but it wasn’t this bad.

I enjoy testing new software, but I’m seriously considering reverting back to MacOS Sequoia.
